Founded in 1993 to serve the psychosocial needs of elderly and disabled individuals

“The greatest satisfaction one can receive in life is to engage in compassionate work for others.”
Eric Garfinkel, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer, PsychAssociates Group

PsychAssociates was established in 1993 to bring professional clinical psychology services to people in long-term care settings and related communities.  The foundation of our practice rests with the clinical expertise of our staff, our ability to connect to residents and facility staff as human beings, and the consistent knowledge-based oversight that the structure of our organization provides.

Our staff of doctoral level clinical psychologists work in collegial teams, headed up by a facility-based supervising psychologist.  More than just treating patients in isolation, our psychology teams become part of the culture of each nursing home, contributing to patient care, staff development, quality assurance, and organizational initiatives.

“We believe that the most powerful psychological benefits for residents come when all residents and staff are treated with dignity, professionalism and with recognition of their potential for growth and change.”
Eric Redlener,
Ph.D., President, PsychAssociates Group
